Although the best place to run, in my opinion, is outside – there are some times benefits to running on a treadmill. Either the streets are icy or it is raining heavily, in either case the best way to get a solid workout in is on the treadmill.
Although the treadmill is great and offers a lot of opportunities for structuring your workout, many are having a hard time covering long distances on a treadmill. It simply is very dull and doesn’t offer a lot of stimulation to make the time go by.
